London Marathon 2026
Apply to be part of #TeamVelindre for the London Marathon and take a step towards Victory Over Cancer! For the first time in Velindre’s history, we’ve secured official charity places for the TCS London Marathon! This year we have 4 spaces to offer our amazing supporters to be a part of the charity’s history and take part in one of the world’s most prestigious races.
A Mile A Day In May 2025
Join us for A Mile a Day in May 2025 – a fun and rewarding way to get active and make a difference. Whether you’re walking, jogging, running, swimming or cycling, it’s about getting outside, moving your body, improving mental wellbeing and raising vital funds for Velindre.
Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge
Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge is back for its fifth year – bigger and better than ever! Led by Welsh rugby legend Jonathan “Jiffy” Davies OBE, the 50-mile cycling event raises vital funds for cancer services in South & West Wales. Last year, 338 cyclists pedalled from Cardiff to Swansea, raising over £40,000!
Cardiff Half Marathon 2025
Join Velindre Cancer Charity and thousands of fellow runners in this epic route through the gorgeous Welsh capital city, passing iconic landmarks such as the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Castle, and more.
Sierra Nevada Trek 2026
This exciting challenge will take you to the summit of Mount Mulhacén, the highest peak on mainland Spain, standing at an impressive 3,482 meters. Along the way, you’ll experience stunning scenery, including sheltered valleys, lush green gorges, winding watercourses, terraced farmlands, and picturesque high-altitude villages nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada.
Alcatraz Swim 2025
We would love you to be a part of this elite team of swimmers and join us for Velindre’s first ever overseas swim! Swimming from Alcatraz is one of the most famous open water swims in the world. The magnificent backdrop of the iconic Gold Gate Bridge and the dramatic San Francisco skyline make Alcatraz an unforgettable swimming experience.
