Cardiff Half Marathon is the second-largest half marathon in the UK, with this year’s own places selling out in a record-breaking 12 hours! Following the introduction of the first ever ballot, we are thrilled to offer 300 exclusive charity places for the 2026 Cardiff Half Marathon which will be allocated through an expression of interest registration process.
Join thousands of runners in this epic route through the gorgeous Welsh capital city, passing iconic landmarks such as the Principality Stadium, Cardiff Bay, Cardiff Castle, and more.

In 2025, over 180 dedicated Velindre runners took on the Cardiff Half Marathon raising over £60,000 for our Hospital of Hope.
These incredible individuals all had a personal connection to Velindre making every step taken and ever mile conquered so special. Following the success of 2025, we are making 2026 bigger and better than ever before! We are pleased to offer our highest number of charity spaces ever with an aim of raising a record number of donations.

Your £300 fundraising would allow us to fund 6 hours of specialist counselling sessions.
In turn, it helps patients process their emotions, come to terms with their diagnosis, and feel empowered as they navigate their cancer pathway.
