Cancer 50 Challenge
16 August 2026 – Cardiff to Swansea
Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge is back for 2026!
Led by Welsh rugby legend Jonathan ‘Jiffy’ Davies OBE, the 56-mile cycling event raises vital funds for cancer services in South and West Wales. Last year 330 cyclists pedalled from Cardiff to Swansea, raising over £55,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre and Swansea Bay Health Charity.
“I need your help to raise as much as possible and help improve cancer services. Join me for this great ride connecting these two incredible cancer hospitals in our collective effort of tackling cancer in South and West Wales.”
Velindre Charity President, Jonathan Davies, OBE

Free children’s resources for more than 7 families who need additional support explaining a cancer diagnosis to a child.
A free Complementary Therapy Session for a patient during treatment, helping ease a patient’s anxiety, sometimes making the difference in whether they feel able to receive their treatment that day.
1 hour of specialist counselling for a palliative care patient facing a life limiting diagnoses.
15 pairs of pyjamas and toiletry packs for a Velindre patient staying overnight at the centre.
Collectively, donations raised through Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge can directly support one of the 40+ clinical trials active at Velindre today.
