Registrations after 25th July are guaranteed a running t-shirt but not necessarily in time for the main event on 10th September. Delivery in time for the main event will depend on production timeframes. Those who do not receive a t-shirt in time for the run due to late sign up, will receive their t-shirt post-event. The annual Velindre Cancer Charity Castle 2 Castle Run, sponsored by Peter’s, is an inclusive 11 mile fun run which takes participants from Caerphilly Castle to Cardiff Castle. The 2023 event has been organised in association with Caerphilly Runners whose support is valued and appreciated.
Exclusively in aid of Velindre Cancer Charity, all sponsorship raised will be donated to further support cancer patients and their families in Wales. Since its inception in 2018, the event has raised over £130,000 for Velindre, the Hospital of Hope.
Sponsored by Castle Dairies, PHS, Brecon Carreg and many other local businesses, this community focussed event will unite supporters, keen runners and patients alike to help make a difference as part of #TeamVelindre.
