Wear Red Week
1st – 7th February 2027
Get ready to make a real difference this Febraury by helping Velindre #PaintWalesRed!
Our annual Wear Red campaign is back for 2027, and this time – it’s bigger and better than ever for our 10 year anniversary! We’re extending the fun to a full week – so you can choose a day that works best for you!
Everyone can get involved in this campaign. From wearing red to school or work, planning a red-themed bake sale or pub quiz, or even organising an activity at your weekly training session or local community centre. Let’s make our 10th year one for the history books!
Looking back at 10 incredible years of Wear Red

“I have watched Velindre’s Wear Red campaign grow over the last 10 years and have personally seen the impact the funds raised have had on patients and their families.
To everyone who has worn red, donated £1 or gone the extra mile in hosting a fundraising activity – thank you very much.”
Jonathan ‘Jiffy’ Davies, President of Velindre Cancer Charity

The power of your support
Thanks to your fundraising, our patients and families are able to receive care that goes above and beyond what the NHS can offer. Your donations help us provide:
- Soft lion teddies for children, offering additional support and comfort to families experiencing a cancer diagnosis.
- 1-hour specialist counselling sessions for patients, providing one-to-one wellbeing support for patients exactly when they need it.
- Complementary therapy sessions that alleviate anxiety, cancer symptoms and treatment side effects for patients.
