Velindre, the Hospital of Hope has been providing specialist treatment and supportive care to cancer patients in Wales for over 60 years.

Money raised for us funds ground breaking research and clinical trials, cutting edge treatments, specialist nurses, support services, therapies, equipment and so much more which are above those provided by the NHS - so donations really do have a significant impact on patients and their families.

More people than ever are living with cancer and survival rates have doubled in the last 40 years through better treatments and earlier detection.

Velindre has a series of Hospital Of Hope initiatives to ensure that the memory of loved ones is honoured in the most appropriate way.

Hope Tribute Funds

A Velindre Hospital of Hope Tribute Fund is a positive way of honouring loved ones while ensuring that their memory is providing hope for future generations.

Leaving a Gift of Hope in your Will

A substantial part of Velindre’s charitable income comes from people who have left us a gift in their Will, very often from people whose lives have been touched by cancer. It is a way of giving something back, saying “thank you” for the care and support they or a loved one have experienced at Velindre.

A Gift of Hope is hugely important as they allow Velindre to plan for future projects and developments with confidence.
