We spoke to Sharn Richards from Pinnacle to find out why they chose to support Velindre and this is what she had to say… “Cancer effects 1 in 2 people and most of us will experience this either directly or indirectly in our lifetime. Unfortunately we experienced this first hand earlier this year when our colleague and friend was given the devastating news that they had cancer. It was important for us to hold our fundraising day, not just to raise vital funds so Velindre can continue to help our friends, family members and colleagues across Wales, but also to create awareness of the charity as cancer can happen to anyone!! We were overwhelmed with the support and generosity of those involved in our Velindre day and glad we could give something back.”
