SAVE THE DATE - IT’S BACK!
We are absolutely delighted to announce that Wear Red for Wales and Velindre will take place on Friday 1 February 2019.
The 2018 Wear Red campaign was a huge success with hundreds of schools and businesses across Wales’s getting involved painting Wales red and raising over £70,000.
Getting involved couldn’t be easier – just wear something – anything – Red on Friday 1 February and donate a minimum of £1 to Velindre on the day of Wales’s first 6 Nations game against France at the Stade de France. For this day only Velindre supporters will change from our traditional green colour to Red in support of the Welsh rugby team.
Registrations for Wear Red will open on 1 November and once registered we will supply you with a special Wear Red Pack filled with fundraising ideas. You can also show your support by purchasing an exclusive 2019 Wear Red For Wales And Velindre t-shirt, wristband or mug.
The 2018 Wear Red campaign was started by Patron Sam Warburton when he surprised pupils at Stanwell School in Penarth with an unexpected visit.
And the school that raises the most from Wear Red in 2019 will also receive a visit from a celebrity Velindre supporter.
You will be able to access your Wear Red Registration form soon but in the meantime please put this date in your diary, phone and calendar:
