Pen Y Fan Night Walk in Aid of Velindre Cancer Centre

Tracey and Emily Davies will be leading a Starlit Night Walk in Aid of Velindre Cancer Centre. Let the stars and JT Expedition Guides lead the way over a 2-3 hour circuit of Corn Du, or alternatively you can just walk up to the top of Pen Y Fan and back down.

The walk up Pen y Fan from the Storey Arms car park is around 2-3 hours in total and will take us up the footpath and to the summit of Corn Du (873m) We’ll then do the last bit of short ascent to the summit of Pen y Fan where we can get some photos and take a rest before descending back down via the Brecon Beacons Way National Trail and back to the Storey Arms Outdoor Centre.

Registration will be £40pp and a min of £150.00 sponsor money for Velindre Cancer Centre. Children aged 12-16 can attend the walk, and registration for this age bracket will be £25 and fundraising total of £75.00 ( must be accompanied by a responsible adult).

Included within the registration fee will be the provision of experienced guides from JT Expeditions who will have guides placed in areas over the Beacons to guide the way and support all walkers (the guides are provided for everyone`s safety), glow sticks, tea, coffee and cakes on finishing and specially designed Velindre glow in the dark logo t -shirts designed by Phillip Carter Signs who always sponsor these events.

T shirts can be collected on the night of registration along with your glow sticks.

When you have registered you will receive a welcome pack, information regarding the event and a kit list. Please ensure that you do some level of walking before the event in order to get the best experience.
