We are extremely fortunate to have so many wonderful supporters who give their time, energy and dedication to raising the profile and vital funds for Velindre. Without this support, Velindre would not be the place it is today and we are eternally grateful to each and every one of them.

Steve Sullivan is the founder of Megaday, the annual music festival held on August Bank Holiday in Caerphilly each year. The event is a fixture in the music calendar, running for over 320 years and raising over a quarter of a million pounds. Steve has also run the Cardiff Half Marathon for Velindre on a number of occasions. As well as fundraising Steve runs his own Computer Training and IT Services company; Click Tips, and has generously donated his time and expertise by providing the fundraising office with a fantastic database and continuous staff training

It's been a joy and a privilege to support Velindre Centre over the last 20 years. I've seen first hand the dedication and commitment of staff at this wonderful centre, but it's their compassion for their patients that touches me most. We started raising money in support of Velindre for 2 close friends, who were both patients. It comforts us hugely to know we have helped so many others in their name

We are extremely grateful for the fantastic support we have received from award winning Edwards Coaches. They have provided coaches to us for a number of our overseas challenges, and being able to travel in style to Heathrow certainly helps our trekkers and cyclists prepare for the arduous challenges ahead. And after travelling from half way around the World, the Edwards coach is a very welcome sight for our weary fundraisers.

Edwards are proud to continue providing support to an organisation of the stature of Velindre. Having known many close friends and family who have passed through Velindre, we have nothing but an overriding admiration for everyone involved with the charity

Ambassadors Neil & Janet Ballard have been supporting Velindre for over many years raising over £100,000. Each year they host their hugely popular annual Charity Dinner for Velindre, changing the theme year on year. They also completed the 515km East Coast Bike Ride from Boston to New York, Janet’s blog of the trip can be read here: Click here  Neil has also completed our Ride the Rockies from Canmore to Jasper in 2016.

We held our first Charity Dinner in aid of Velindre in March 2010 as a one off event. It was such a success we decided to do it again and here we are with our 5th dinner. We never forget that our aim is to raise funds for Velindre. As we have lost loved ones to cancer and also seen treatments triumph against the odds, but while doing this we all have a great time too
