 Charity of the Year 

We are very grateful to companies who make a long term commitment by adopting Velindre as their Charity of the Year; often voted by employees, it gives staff a focus and results in successful fundraising and profile raising activities. S3 are a leading advertising agency which has been ranked number 1 in the UK for customer satisfaction and we are delighted to be their Charity of the Year for 2017 and 2018. S3 have created a number of excellent promotional videos for Velindre Fundraising and provided social media training.  Chief Executive Matt Jones will be taking part in our Machu Picchu trek in September.



Staff at The Royal Mint and its new visitor attraction, The Royal Mint Experience, were in no doubt when it came to voting for their next nominated charity. Their new partnership with Velindre will see staff throwing themselves into a range of novel activities in order to raise funds.




I am constantly amazed and proud of the enthusiasm and generosity shown by The Royal Mint staff when it comes to fundraising for their chosen charity.  I hope lots of money is raised for such a deserving cause as Velindre

Cuddy Group is proud to announce a new fundraising partnership with Velindre, as their official Charity partner of the year for 2017/18. The partnership will see the Cuddy Group engage in numerous fundraising activities over the next 12 months towards a £10,000 fundraising target.

The British and Irish Lions chose 4 Home Nation charities to support in a Lions year, and we were honored when Velindre was chosen as the Welsh beneficiary. Patients and staff were delighted when just before Christmas Lions’ Head Coach  Warren Gatland visited Velindre with President Jonathon Davies.

February saw the prestigious Leading the Lions Dinner take place in Cardiff’s City Hall, with 19 British and Irish Lions in attendance.

 It certainly puts life into perspective and was humbling but very uplifting experience. The Lions are supporting four charities in aid of the leading the Lions Dinner series and Velindre is the chosen charity in Cardiff so I was very grateful to have had the opportunity to see the fantastic work they do

Warren Gatland

Acquired in 2003, CELSA steel is the largest producer of reinforcement in the UK and one of the largest manufacturers of other steel long products. Velindre has been CELSA’s chosen Charity partner for 2016 and 2017 and has benefited from many fundraising activities.


Undy Athletic Football Club is based in the village of Undy, Monmouthshire and plays   in the Welsh Football League Division One. The club have lots of fundraising events in the pipeline, including Alun Fuller who has committed to the incredible challenge of running a Marathon a month throughout the year of Velindre’s adoption.
