What is a Velindre Rose Tribute Fund?
In recent years, an increasing number of people have asked us about ways to remember someone special by making gifts in their name to Velindre Cancer Centre.
Often, they are families whose loved ones have benefited from our care and support. Many have told us that in so doing, they have found a very positive and meaningful way to keep the name, memory and spirit of their loved one alive and that it helps them find a way through the often-difficult grieving path.
With this in mind, we have established a very special programme called ‘Velindre Rose Tribute Funds’. Each Fund is personalised with the name of a loved one, e.g. ‘The Jane Jones Velindre Rose Tribute Fund’.
They are a simple, yet positive way of remembering a loved one whilst and at the same time, in their name, help to support the essential services provided by Velindre Cancer Centre.

Growing your Velindre Rose Tribute Fund
Once set up, it can be added to in so many different ways, as often as you like and by as many people who choose to make a donation. Some people contribute to their fund on special days such as birthdays, at Christmas and on special anniversaries and others may do fundraising events to honour that special person. If you decide to set up a Velindre Rose Tribute Fund, all the funds raised from any fundraising ventures can be paid into the fund and you will be taking on the challenge in memory or in tribute to the person who’s life you have chosen to celebrate!
The great thing about a Velindre Rose Tribute Fund is that it will continue to grow, even when you have completed your event and, if you decide to do something else, we can add that income to the fund. People do some amazing things in memory of some truly amazing people!

How to set up a Velindre Rose Tribute Fund
To set up a Velindre Rose Tribute Fund please complete and return a ‘Fund Registration Form’ or contact the Fundraising Department (details at bottom of the screen).

Where to buy a Velindre Rose |

To buy a Velindre Rose please complete and return a Velindre Rose Order Form or contact the fundraising department and we will send you a form. Please note: the rose growing season has now finished and will re-start in October. You can pre-order your rose now by completing and returning the order form, or you can send it nearer to October.
