Bargoed born singer-songwriter, James Fox began his musical career at early age playing the piano from the age of seven later learning guitar and drums too.
A talented singer/songwriter, guitarist and drummer, James made his national debut on the second series of Fame Academy where he achieved a respectable 5th placing.
James represented the UK in the 2004 Eurovision Song Contest. Tim Rice saw him in Jesus Christ Superstar and was so impressed by his performance he recommended him for the role of the piano playing vocalist/musical narrator lead in Movin’ Out in America. James received a vocal standing ovation on his Broadway debut.
In March 2006, he returned to the UK to take up the role of the "Piano Man" in the European premier of Movin Out in The West End. Billy Joel said this of Fox at the press launch at Ronnie Scotts's Jazz club: "I'm particularly pleased that the incredibly talented James Fox will be returning to home turf; he has been wowing audiences here, and he's going to continue to do so there."
Following Cardiff City’s surge to their third F A Cup Final, self confessed Bluebirds fanatic James has penned a special song for this memorable occasion. “Bluebirds Flying High” will be Cardiff City’s official Cup Final song.
