This December we will be hanging special Velindre Hearts onto our Christmas Tree at the Hospital.
Every Heart will display a name which is a personal heart to heart celebration of a loved one.
We'd like to invite you to
put a name onto a Velindre Heart, in honour of a person who is in your heart this christmas.

Carol Service
We would like to extend a warm invite to you and your family and friends to join us at 18.00 on Thursday 18th December at 18.00. Our christmas lights will be switched on by a celebrity patron, there will be a short carol service followed by mulled wine and mince pies. Following the service if you wish we will return your Heart so that you can hang it on your Christmas tree, or it can stay on our Christmas tree at Velindre throughout the Christmas season.
How your gift helps us
All donations raised from the Heart to Heart Christmas Appeal will go straight to work where they are needed most. Velindre Cancer Centre has been providing care and support to cancer patients and their families in Wales for over 50 years.
We would like to raise money to make improvements to our Pharmacy Department, which will enable us to expand the pharmacy support for clincial trials and to provide new and innovative treatments in the areas of gene and vaccine therapy. At Velindre, many patients enter into clincial trials. The aim of all these clinical trials is to see if we are able to improve life expectancy or quality of life in patients with cancer. So increasing the amount of clincial trials we can run by expanding pharmacy capacity and support is a very important part of the work that we do both for our patients of now, and in the future.
