1000 Mile Tandem Challenge
for Bridgend Duo!

2 Coychurch men, Huw Rodgers and Peter Harwood,  cycled the length of Britain in memory of a dear friend; Matthew Jury from Coychurch was treated for throat cancer at Velindre Hospital, where he received wonderful support.

Huw, of Pro Paper in Bridgend, and Peter, Headmaster of Gladstone Primary School in Cardiff, cycled from John O’ Groats to Lands End this July to raise the fantastic sum of £20,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre.

The money raised by this event will purchase a vital piece of equipment for Velindre Hospital so support will be very welcome and much appreciated.

Head of Fundraising Andrew Morris went to meet Huw and Peter as they passed through Chepstow. The men recieved an amazing response!

I would like to show my appreciation to all of the staff who looked after me and cared for me. Nothing was too much trouble for them and with their love and care made a very difficult stay easier to deal with
Harold (Joe) Berry

Everyone seemed to have the gift of making you feel that you were the only one that mattered even though the Hospital was always full.
